Why do machine operators often suffer from stiffness and back pain?
Long hours sitting in machinery can reduce movement, tighten the hips, and place stress on the lower back, neck, and shoulders. Over time, these effects can build up if mobility and recovery are ignored.
Is this coaching only for 360 excavator drivers?
No. The principles apply to excavator drivers, dumper drivers, telehandler operators, crane operators, tractor drivers, and anyone who spends long periods sitting in machinery.
Do I need a gym membership?
A gym membership is required. Strength training is one of the most effective ways to stay strong, mobile, and capable as you get older, which is why it forms a key part of the Axon Fitness approach. Many of the mobility exercises can be done at home, on site, or anywhere you have a small amount of space and time, but access to a gym is needed for the strength-training elements of the programme.
how much time do I need each week?
Most people can benefit from two to three strength-training sessions per week, along with a few short mobility sessions to help reduce stiffness and improve movement.
I'm over 50. Is this suitable for me?
Absolutely. The programme is designed around staying strong, mobile, and capable for the long term, not chasing athletic performance.
Can I still do the programme if I have old injuries?
Many machine operators have old injuries. Exercises can usually be adapted to work around limitations and mobility restrictions.Write your text here...
Why is mobility important for machine operators?
Long hours in the cab can reduce hip mobility, spinal movement, and circulation. Mobility work helps counteract these effects and supports long-term physical capability.
What makes Axon Fitness different?
Axon Fitness is built around real-world experience in construction, machine operating, and fitness coaching. The focus is practical solutions for staying strong, mobile, and capable for the long haul—not fitness fads, gimmicks, or influencer-style workouts...
